Connie Ransom: Riverside Real Estate Specialist & Community Leader

Thirty-eight years of activity in Riverside and the surrounding area including raising a family and actively participating on boards of PTA, Children’s Theater, Riverside Art Museum, Riverside Arts Council, Friends of the Fox Theater and the Riverside Downtown Association have helped me build experience for my career as a Realtor.  My bachelor’s degree is in psychology, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Fine Art.  Prior to entering the real estate field I owned and directed, with my husband Roger Ransom, The Art Works Gallery, a gallery of contemporary art by Southern California artists.

Riverside’s parks, gardens, natural resources, cultural institutions and historic heritage are important to me.  I am a member of the Old Riverside Foundation and am familiar with vintage architecture as well as mid-century modern and contemporary architecture.  My art background was three dimensional with an architectural influence.

Contributing to the community is a priority to me and to the company I work with.  Coldwell Banker Armstrong Properties has a long tradition and reputation in Riverside and fosters an atmosphere for giving to the community.  I have served as chair of the Philanthropy Committee, am serving numerous arts, cultural and charitable organizations in the area.  It is always a treat to read to school children on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, or lead a tour at the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation.

My real estate mentor, Beverly Wingate Maloof, taught me that the job of real estate is not a ‘sales job’ but it is a service job requiring experience, skill and communication – not to mention negotiation expertise.  Problem solving is what keeps me interested, and those techniques are the ones I use to succeed in real estate.
